Matthew Johnson Old-school, no-frills black metal in the vein of Darkthrone (with even a touch of first-wave influences if you listen for them); no folk, no shoegaze, no crust, just heavy duty metal riffs and even heavier duty occult themes. Don’t mistake a comparatively straightforward approach for simplicity, though, this up-and-coming project is serious about black metal. Very promising.

Hungarian Atmospheric Black Metal. I must have had my head buried in the sand somewhere or even worse (?!?). I somehow managed to completely miss this as well as its predecessor. Now corrected! It is absolutely fantastic! The depth of emotions & feelings coming through is incredible! I checked the lyrics but I barely had to. All meaning & suffering loud & clear. Highly recommended!!! bmurator
